How to set up Twilio (5 minutes)

  1. Go to twilio.com/try-twilio and create a free account. You get $15.50 in free credits (~1,900 SMS messages).
  2. After signing up, go to your Twilio Console. Copy your Account SID and Auth Token from the dashboard.
  3. Click "Get a Trial Number" in the console. Twilio will assign you a phone number for free. Copy it (including the +1).
  4. Paste all three values above and click "Save & Verify". BidPulse will validate your credentials automatically.
  5. Trial account note: On Twilio's free tier, you can only send SMS to verified phone numbers. Add your phone number in Twilio Console → Verified Caller IDs.
Cost: Each SMS costs ~$0.0079 (~0.8 cents). A full 4-message follow-up sequence costs ~$0.032 per quote. The free trial credits cover about 1,900 messages.
